It’s A Shame

It’s a shame,
Who’s to blame,
I don’t know,
We had a thing,
Almost a fling,
Long ago,
You had your life,
I had mine,
We wouldn’t changes things,
At the time,
So we let it go,
Now don’t you know,
It’s a shame,

It’s a shame,
Who’s to blame,
I can’t say,
It’s terribly sad,
Whatever we had,
Faded away,
Was it a game,
That we played,
We’ll never go back to,
Yesterday,
Can’t change the past,
It didn’t last,
It’s such a shame,

We had a chance to be together,
Such a long time ago,
Was it meant to last forever,
We’ll never know – woe woe woe,

It’s a shame,
No one to blame,
Let it be,
To see you again,
And not let it end,
Is my fantasy,
You have your life,
I have mine,
We can’t go back,
To that time,
I’ll never forget,
But I have regrets,
And that’s a shame

It’s a shame that love can sometimes pop up in your life but unless the timing is is right it may be for nothing. A lot of people have apparently had a chance to carry a relationship farther but do to circumstances could not.

While love is all around us in pop songs, books, television shows, and reality tv, not everyone wants to fall in love. There are a wide variety of reasons why you might want to avoid falling for someone. You might not have time for love, fear getting hurt, or simply enjoy the freedom of being unattached.

Using cognitive and behavioral strategies to alter the intensity of love is known as love regulation. Sometimes, you have to do what you have to do.

Research suggests that people can utilize emotion regulation strategies such as cognitive reappraisal and distraction to help intensify or reduce feelings of love.

Here’s what it might mean if you don’t want to fall in love, how to deal with it, and how to avoid letting it keep you from forming positive, supportive relationships.
